Curses, I was actually hoping for a Bahamut avatar. Even if they pulled a FFVII and made like, Neo Bahamut or something. But alas....

Im a warrior who uses a variety of weapons, so I look forward to seeing what I get from these benefiets.

the smn part is kinda....eh
most if not all smn's in vana diel have low smn skill based on their lvl cause as they lvl they are used more as the whm...i know cause im a victim lol. my smn skill is sooo low. yea i kno i need to sit in an area and lvl it but i shouldn't have to.

I personally had not run across those comments but I know Cyclonus has because Cyclonus started talking to me about the perception that SE does not like the fact that SMN/WHM is often used as primary healer. Cyclonus and I chatted for 15 minutes on this topic and I offered my nickel's worth because all I play in this game (for the most part) is SMN/WHM and WHM/SMN.

I told Cyclonus SMN/WHM is frequently just as good as WHM/SMN for primary healing because as WHM you quickly learn to hold back on your main cure. For instance, if you have Cure IV the vast majority of the time you will toss Cure III just because your main cure grabs so much hate (I am WHM 55). In fact SMN/WHM may be better than WHM/SMN because you have more MP. I knew one SMN/WHM who told me he had reached SMN 65 hardly summoning a thing.

I am not sure of any other job where you learn to hold back on your latest/greatest ability in favor of the previously learned, lower, equivalent. If SE really wants to improve WHM in a party setting all they have to do is lower Enmity for curing someone.

When I get an invite as SMN, to an unknown party, I ask the party leader if he/she wants a SMN-healer or a SMN-summoner. Darkkit was inviting me to her Exp parties as SMN-summoner and when the WHM would disconnect the battle stopped not the least - I just stopped summoning Avatars and shifted to 100% curing until the WHM could sign back on.

As for Benediction - it basically s*cks! LOL! Benediction (to me) means your party has a chance to live while you end up dead on the floor with less experience! That is the other Healer lesson you learn - don't toss Curaga nor Benediction in a combat situation.

So basically the WHM job subbed under SMN in a party is 80% of the WHM job as primary in a party.

Well, that is my nickel's worth regarding the WHM job. Folks can feel free to disagree with my views =^_^=
